About Us

Welcome to Secondhand Nature

For as long as I can remember, I've been drawn to the beauty in clothing and wares. As a child, I spent countless hours in my garage attic, sifting through treasures, running my fingers over the textures of old textiles, marveling at the intricate designs on assorted wares. There was magic in those forgotten corners.

As I grew older, I'd spend my spare time wandering through town, window shopping, exploring various stores and op shops. I discovered a whole world of beauty in the pre-loved and overlooked, and I was hooked. I see potential where others see only what's been worn or used—treasures hiding in plain sight.

My Story

I'm Fiona, a mum to two gorgeous children and the heart behind this small Tasmanian business. At Secondhand Nature, I curate pre-loved pieces that deserve a second chance—items with character, quality, and stories to tell. I hand-select each piece for its beauty, craftsmanship, or unique charm. What others might overlook, I see as an opportunity to celebrate something wonderful.

The Beauty of What Already Exists

We already have so many beautiful things in the world. By choosing pieces that have already been made, we're celebrating what exists rather than creating demand for more. There's something special about finding that perfect piece—knowing it has a history, that it's been loved before, and that you're giving it a new chapter.

Buying secondhand should be second nature for us all. Every purchase you make is a step toward a more sustainable future, one where we value what already exists and give it new life. Welcome to a place where conscious shopping feels natural.

What You'll Find Here

Each item in my collection is one-of-a-kind, carefully inspected, cleaned, and presented with care. I look for pieces that spark joy—clothing you'll love to wear and items that will feel at home in your space.

I celebrate all styles and stay open-minded in what I curate. What makes my heart sing might be completely different from what makes yours sing, and that's the beauty of it. Every piece has the potential to be someone's perfect find.

I select items with quality, character, or unique charm—pieces that have something special to offer. If it speaks to you and brings you joy, that's what matters.

Shopping secondhand is a way of celebrating the beauty and possibility in what's already here.
